My target 24 Hours
I’m moving my body to help raise funds for my local hospital!
For those that know my story, you know that I started battled a triple negative breast cancer diagnosis last year. This form of cancer is particularly aggressive and so too, must it's treatment be. In the month of May last year alone, I spent a total of 24 hours being poked, scanned, in post operative care, receiving chemotherapy, dressing changes and rescue fluids. Those hours saved my life but I missed out on so much.
When I needed care, my local hospital was there for me. This May, I want to reclaim those hours and repay the favor.
I’m pledging to be active (running, walking, weight training, kick boxing, etc) for all of those lost hours in order to help funds for the $1.1 million surgical care upgrades at West Parry Sound Health Centre. All things I could only dream about doing again only 1 year ago.
