Walk Run Pole – The 5KM Community Celebration Raised Over $66,000 for Surgical Care!
The 2025 Walk Run Pole is a month-long community event encouraging fitness and fundraising! It takes place throughout May and concludes with a fun, accessible community celebration at the Stockey Centre in Parry Sound on June 1, 2025 at 11am.You Can Still Donate Here!
How it works

Virtual Participation: From May 1 to May 31, participants can track their physical activity whether walking, running, kayaking, swimming, or any other form of movement using apps like Strava or Fitbit, or by manually logging their efforts. The goal is to stay active and raise funds for your West Parry Sound Health Centre.

5KM Community Celebration: On June 1, the community is invited to gather at the Stockey Centre for a 5K celebration event, bringing together participants to celebrate their collective fundriasing and fitness efforts.

Team Participation: Individuals can join as solo participants or form teams with family, friends, or workplace groups to encourage community engagement and collective fundraising.

Rotary Club of Parry Sound, Strikes Against Cancer, 3-Pitch Tournament
The Rotary Club of Parry Sound hosts the annual Strikes Against Cancer 3-Pitch Tournament each June at Kinsmen Park. Formerly known as the RACH (Rallying Against Cancer Hardcore) Tournament, this event was adopted by the Rotary Club in 2019 to carry on its legacy of supporting cancer care in the community. Funds raised are donated to the West Parry Sound Health Centre Foundation to support keeping advanced cancer care close to home. Join in and register a team here!

Love Our Hospital - Early Bird Prize Draw
About the lottery: Each month, 50% of the gross ticket sales are awarded to one lucky winner, with the remaining 50% directed towards funding essential equipment and services at West Parry Sound Health Centre. The Waubuno Shrine Club Memorial Golf Tournament is a cherished annual event that brings the community together in support of local healthcare. Proceeds from the tournament are generously donated to the West Parry Sound Health Centre Foundation, helping to fund vital hospital equipment and improve healthcare services for residents of the region. Each summer, Moose FM hosts a Radiothon in support of the West Parry Sound Health Centre Foundation. It is a powerful day of live broadcasting dedicated to raising funds for critical hospital needs. Annual Golf Tournament
Now in it's 21st year, this is a full-day event, with a light breakfast served upon arrival and a lunch reception following an 18-hole round. There are a variety of prize categories and an online silent auction that encourages healthy competition among golfers at Parry Sound Golf & Country Club.
