Daphne Loukidelis
Chair
Daphne is a retired lawyer with 25 years experience in a tribunal and a health regulatory body in advisory and management capacities. As the current Foundation Board Chair, she brings her skills in analysis and problem-solving, written and oral communication, and a keen sense of integrity.
Daphne is originally from Sudbury, and now makes her home in Parry Sound.
Kim Karges
Past Chair
Kim is an experienced Board member who brings her financial management, leadership and team development expertise to her role as a Director. During her career in banking, she served on hospital and foundation Boards in Hamilton, Barrie and Orillia, giving her a deep understanding of the complexities of governance in the Ontario healthcare system. She retired from her position as District Vice President at Scotiabank in 2021.
Edward ‘Ted’ Reeser
Treasurer
Edward Reeser, has acquired over 20 years’ experience as a Chief Financial and senior officer of public companies in the metallurgical, aviation, and oil pipeline industries. His areas of expertise include international business, supply chain management, mergers and acquisitions, raising capital, and controllership. He has been a Director of Bridgepoint Active Healthcare, and an Independent Director of Jaguar Mining Inc. and Temex Resources Corporation. He is presently Chairman and a Director of RockMass Technologies, and a Director of LOFT Community Services as well as the WPSHC Foundation. Ted holds a Master of Business Administration degree (finance concentration) from York University, a Bachelor of Arts from York University and an ICD.D. designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors.
Debbie Bongard
Chair, Northern Angels Council
Debbie Bongard is a senior wealth advisor and senior portfolio manager at BMO Nesbitt Burns. She leads the Bongard Wealth Advisory Group in helping over 200 families manage wealth through multiple generations.
Debbie has been a pioneer for female wealth advisors in the industry. Prior to joining Nesbitt Thomson, she worked at Wood Gundy on the institutional fixed income desk. Debbie is one of two advisors in Canada with specialized mastery training from the Financial Transitionist Institute. In addition to her seat on the Board of the WPSHC Foundation, Debbie and her husband, Reid, are actively involved with Camp Kirk, a camp for neurodiverse children. When not in Toronto, Debbie enjoys spending time in Collingwood and Pointe-au-Baril with her family and two yellow labs.
Carolyn Butterfield
Chair, Events and Innovation Committee
Carolyn recently retired with over 25 years of experience in planning, developing, and implementing major business processes, application systems, and information technology projects, this retired professional has made a significant impact within the retail industry. She brings her expertise and experience in change management, business process redesign, IT strategy, and operational efficiency to the Foundation. Carolyn holds a Certified Management Consultant (CMC) designation from the Institute of Management Consultants, as well as a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute. Carolyn and her husband Brad have been year-round cottagers in Carling since 2005, and are planning to make it their permanent home.
Susan Hawkins
Chair, HR & Governance
Susan Hawkins has 45 years of experience in the financial services industry holding diverse roles in commercial lending services, human resources management and sales initiatives. Susan has driven growth and transformation initiatives across multiple areas, including talent management and business and sales strategies. Her leadership fostered a collaborative culture while enhancing organizational effectiveness, making her a trusted advisor.
Susan and her husband, Paul McDonald purchased their cottage property in Seguin in 2006 and in 2018 fulfilled their dream of becoming full time northern residents upon retirement.
Becoming a Director for West Parry Sound Health Centre was a deeply personal and purposeful decision for Susan. She and her husband are both grateful patients of WPSHC and so thankful for the outstanding level of professional and caring support they received.
By joining the Foundation Board, Susan saw an opportunity to work along professional and passionate Directors and Hospital leaders to help raise the critical resources needed to enhance patient care and ensure our healthcare providers have the tools they need.
Margaret Aerola
President of the WPSHC Auxiliary
Currently the President of the WPSHC Auxiliary, Marg started her careers as a Registered Nurse before moving into healthcare administration. She was the Administrator at Bendale Acres for the 19 years. Prior to taking on this role she was a Director of Nursing with the City of Toronto Long Term Care Homes and Services. An advocate for Francophone services in long-term care, Margaret developed many new partnerships, expanded opportunities for clinical education and volunteer opportunities for Francophone and Francophile students, and worked with health partners to develop an Optimal Model for Francophone Long Term Care in Ontario.
Michael McGarrell
WPSHC Board of Directors Representative
After moving to Parry Sound, Mike became an active volunteer in the community, including the West Parry Sound Rotary Club and the hospital. He sits on the Foundation Board of Directors as a representative of the Board of Directors of WPSHC.
Donald Sanderson
CEO, West Parry Sound Health Centre
Donald Sanderson is proud to be the Chief Executive Officer to the West Parry Sound Health Centre & Lakeland Long Term Care. A position he has held since 2009.
His career in health administration spans more than thirty-five years.
Donald is a graduate of Western University and holds a master’s in health administration from the University of Ottawa. He is also Certified Health Executive with the Canadian College of Health Leaders and a member of the Ontario Hospital Association’s Medium Sized Hospitals Leadership Council.
Donald is an active volunteer, he currently is Chair of the West Parry Sound Recreation & Culture Centre. He is a Paul Harris Fellow, member and Past President of the Rotary Club of Parry Sound. Formerly, Donald served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Ontario Hospital Association, Canadore College, North Bay and President of the Festival of the Sound. Donald is a recipient of the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal for Community Service.
Brian Bornstein
Brian is the President and Founder of Symbiotic Partnerships Inc., Director and Officer of Symbiotic Living Inc., formerly a Managing Director and Co-Founder of Symbiotic Enrollment Solutions Inc. and Symbiotic Partners (2011) Inc., Partner and Business Development Consultant at Buck Consultants Ltd. (for about 15 years), a Founder and Corporate Controller/Director of HR at Devtek Corporation (currently Heroux-Devtek). Brian has worked in the Bahamas for over 20 years for numerous corporate clients on their group health insurance programs.
Suzanne Koenderman
Suzanne moved to the Parry Sound region in 2019, after cottaging on Lake Joseph since 1987. She joined the Board of the Foundation shortly afterwards and brings experience in governance and organization leadership in education and long term care. Her personal experience with emergency care at the WPSHC gave her first-hand knowledge of the quality of care provided to the people of the Parry Sound region.
Brett LaGamba
Brett and her husband John ran a successful masonry heater business for 27 years prior to retiring in 2020. They are now enjoying semi-retirement at their cottage on Lake Rosseau as well as winters in Florida. In addition to her position on the Board of Directors of the Foundation, Brett is a former president and current Board member of the Lake Rosseau North Association.
Walter McCormick
D. Walter McCormick is a Portfolio Manager, Investment Advisor with Richardson Wealth. Walter graduated from the University of Western Ontario in 1980 with a Bachelors degree in Economics and became a Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute in 1984. He was awarded the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation in 1986. Walter has been active in various community charities, foundations and boards. In addition to serving on the Board of the Foundation, Walter is a Director of the Grenadine Initiative. He has served as a member of the Robarts Council and is a former member of the Board of Governors of Trinity College School in Port Hope. He was a member of the Board of the Muskoka Lakes Association and Chair of the Griffith Island club, where he remains a member of the Board. He has also been an active member of fundraising committees for the Toronto Community Foundation, the SickKids Foundation and the Arthritis Foundation.
Teri McGurk
A long-time cottager on Lake Rosseau, Teri is also the current President of the Lake Rosseau North Association.
Dr. Margaret Rundle
Dr Margaret (Molly) Rundle is a retired Family Physician of 30 yrs. She has served on the WPSHC Foundation Board for the last 4 years. Completing her BSc from University of Toronto in 1985 in Nutritional Sciences and Physiology, she then received her Medical degree (8T9) followed by her Family Practice Residency both from U of T Temerty Faculty of Medicine (‘91). As a long time cottager in Muskoka, she is a delighted to give back to a community for which she feels deeply grateful. During her retirement, in addition to serving on the Board, she serves on the Planning Committee for the annual Food as Medicine Conference at Temerty Faculty of Medicine, enjoys her role in the Alumni Mentorship Program for both Medical & Undergraduate U of T students, and is Captain of the Women’s Lake Joseph Golf Club. She brings to the Board her philanthropic passion as well as understanding of the needs of hospital, physicians and patients.

Deborah M. Loosemore MBA
CEO
Deborah brings extensive experience in Canadian charity management and development to the Foundation. Her focus is on building relationships and effective collaboration while working with the community and the hospital to lead the Foundation in providing financial support for capital projects and diagnostic and treatment equipment.
Tracy Marley
Donor Relations Coordinator
Since starting with the West Parry Sound Health Centre Foundation as a Donor Relations & Finance Coordinator in July of 2022, Tracy has had the immense pleasure of connecting with our donors in support of our hospital.
"I thoroughly enjoy coming to work every day and interacting with our donors and listening to their various life stories with care and compassion. It never ceases to amaze me how the community comes together with generosity in support of our hospital.
Jen Snazyk
Community Giving & Engagement Officer
Jen joined the team in January 2025. With a strong background in grassroots non-profits, Jen has a deep passion for creating meaningful events and engagement activities that bring communities together, both in person and online.
