Join us on Sunday, May 29th for a 5km Celebration

Location: Charles W. Stockey Centre for the Performing Arts, 2 Bay Street, Parry Sound

Cost: FREE!


Agenda for the Day:

  • Registration opens at 8:00am
  • Starting buzzer goes off at 9:00am
  • Your 5km will be followed by a live musical performance by Filthy Rich and the Empty Pockets
  • Award ceremonies will begin at about 10:30am

Note: Bay Street will be closed to traffic between 8:45-9:30am for this event

Do I need to bring anything?

The most important thing to bring is comfortable shoes! Also consider wearing sunscreen.

If you have collected any pledges that haven't yet been processed on the website, you can bring them on event day to submit at Registration.

Is this event a timed race?

No, this event does not include a timed race in 2022.

The in-person 5km walk/run on Sunday, May 29, 2022 is a family friendly, community celebration. Participants can choose to run, however we will not be providing bibs and timers.

Am I eligible to earn a prize?

Fundraiser Prizes:

Participants who fundraise more than $300 will earn a FREE Chilly Moose tumbler.

MADE IN CANADA! The 20oz (590ml) Killarney Tumbler is double-wall vacuum insulated and made with premium food-grade stainless steel. Includes a clear, flip-top spill-resistant lid.

Costume Prizes:

Costumes are welcome, and encouraged! We have a selection of fun prizes available for Best Costumes.

Is there a registration fee?

No - there is no registration fee for either the virtual or in-person components of this event.

Upon registration, participants can choose to make a personal donation to the event that will count towards their fundraising goal. Personal donations will automatically receive a charitable tax receipt.

Will there be food available?

We will have light refreshments available at the Charles W. Stockey Centre - beverages, fruit, and granola bars.

There will also be water stations along the 5km route, to ensure participants can stay hydrated!

Is this event appropriate for kids?

Yes! We encourage you to bring the whole family.

We have activities for the kids to enjoy at the Stockey Centre. The trail is also stroller/wagon friendly.

We look forward to welcoming children of all ages!

Where can I park?

There is free parking available at the Charles W. Stockey Centre at 2 Bay Street, Parry Sound.

Registration will open at 8:00am, with the starting buzzer going off at 9:00am.

Note: Bay Street will be closed to traffic between 8:45-9:30am for this event, so please arrive prior to 8:45am.

Will participants receive a t-shirt?

No, this year we are not providing event t-shirts to participants. In order to keep registration free, we decided to let participants wear whatever they feel comfortable in!

Costumes are welcome, and encouraged!

Can I bring my pet along?

We love our four-legged friends! However, this is a family-friendly event that will have children of all ages and sizes. To ensure the safety of your pet and others, we'd prefer if they stayed at home on event day.

Can I volunteer to help at the event?

Yes, we would love for you to join us as a volunteer!

Volunteers are needed between 7:00am and 12:00pm on Sunday, May 29, 2022.

We are filling the following roles:

  • Registration Volunteer
  • Signage Volunteer
