We are Terrific Ladies with a Terrific Cause:

Our event has evolved from the Ladies Open Curling Bonspiel, which ran over three decades. 

Now We’re Keen to Ensure Local Women are Diagnosed Locally with Current Technology.

In January 2009 the bonspiel evolved into a fundraiser, creating Curl for the Cure, Think Pink on the Rink.  With Breast Cancer touching so many of our families and friends we are keen to make our bonspiel a fundraiser to buy updated Breast Screening technology for the West Parry Sound Health Centre. 

100% of pledges go towards buying a new digital mammography machine.  Last year our pledges raised $3,289.40 and in 2010 we are hoping to double the amount raised!  The new technology costs $600,000.  The West Parry Sound Health Centre Foundation is arranging a gift basket for the curler with the highest pledges.  So get cracking ladies!  Sign up for e-pledging… it will get us there faster.

Come Spend a Weekend in Parry Sound’s Winter Wonderland:

Invitations are sent to curling clubs across Ontario.  Often the same teams join us year after year.  A number of our summer cottagers return for a winter wonderland weekend and join in the fun.

We strive for a maximum of 32 teams, (4 curlers to a team) … so please help us reach our goal!  Send our organizing committee an email at: psccurling@bell.net or download the registration form. 

Curlers will enjoy Friday night snacks and entertainment provided by one of our local teams.  Saturday lunch and a fabulous dinner are also included.  In 2010 the band Just for Kicks is playing Saturday night.  Brunch is available on Sunday and our sponsors are invited to join.  We provide door prizes and an elimination draw so you might take home a treasure as well as terrific memories.
