Every penny pledged is used to buy equipment for
West Parry Sound Health Centre. In 2010, pledges will buy a second
Bi-PAPP machine ($20,000) for ICU and Emergency. The Bi-PAPP is a
non-invasive machine critical to patients with congestive heart failure.
It helps them breathe by helping to rid them of an over load of
fluids. In addition to the Bi-PAPP purchase is an order of pedometers for patients in our
Cardiac Rehab Program. The pedometer will be a powerful new tool on our
heart patient’s road to recovery.
Over 950 heart
patients have participated in our Cardiac Rehab in its 11-year history.With your help we can ensure heart
healthy solutions are available to mend the many broken hearts.
